New Day Children’s Home (Casa Hogar Nuevo Día)

In the Coastal Region of Oaxaca, Mexico there are currently no long-term care programs accepting orphaned and vulnerable children. In nearby Puerto Escondido alone dozens of children have been abandoned, abused, orphaned, and neglected. With state-run institutions being already overcrowded, the local government has nowhere to bring these children. As a result many children remain in these abusive and vulnerable environments.

Casa Hogar Nuevo Dia (New Day) was established to be a safe place for abandoned and vulnerable children to live, and be brought up on the Word of God surrounded by a loving family.

New Day exists to see children reach their full potential in Christ. We are able to create a safe and loving Christian environment for our children. We provide orphans with a home, food, clothing, education, and medical care because we believe every child deserves an opportunity.  One of our oldest girls, Irlanda, is currently in her second year of Medical school to become a doctor.

We can house up to 24 children and currently have 14. The children receive a high-quality Christian education through Roca Blanca’s Christian school, are involved in the local church, and receive medical care. Most of all they experience the love of God, and the nurture and care that they deserve.

“And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.” Matthew 18.5.
