Three and a half years ago, we met Tania—a determined young woman with a 6-year-old daughter—when she arrived at the Roca Blanca Mission Base to attend Victory Bible Institute. Her journey to Christ began after witnessing the transformation in her brother and mother while living in Juquila, a city known as a major pilgrimage site in Southern Mexico. Despite the city’s bustling tourism and religious traditions, Tania’s family recognized that the hope of many rested on empty promises.
Tania’s life had not been easy. She endured tragedy early on, including the loss of her father to cartel violence. Yet, when she encountered Christ, she gave Him her whole heart. Her commitment was evident from the start, and both the Trade School Ministry and her home church invested in her spiritual and practical growth. Over three years, Tania learned the trade of sewing—a skill that revealed her creativity and relentless work ethic. She became not only a talented artisan but a passionate Kingdom builder.
As Tania grew in faith, so did her vision: to reach unreached women in her community through a ministry-business model. Her plan included offering sewing classes—both hand and machine—to empower women while sharing the hope of Christ. When classes aren’t in session, Tania uses her skills to generate income through custom sewing projects.
We are thrilled to announce that on January 10, 2026, Tania launched her ministry and business with ten women from Juquila who do not yet know Christ. She also secured her first major order of 100 custom bags from a local vendor! This milestone was made possible through an interest-free micro-loan administered by the Roca Blanca Trade School. After twelve months, Tania will begin repaying the loan, which will then fund other small business start-ups within our Christian family—Christians helping Christians to advance the Gospel through trades.
Tania’s story is a powerful reminder that when hearts say “YES” to Christ, lives and communities are transformed.
