Worship
Missions exists because not everyone is worshiping the Lord Jesus. The state of Oaxaca, Mexico has been known for its idolatry. Today, however, the Spirit of God is moving across this great state and many people are coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord. People who once worshiped dead, false gods are now turning and worshiping the Living God!
Worship in spirit and in truth has been an integral part of the Roca Blanca Mission Base since its inception! We want to worship God as we love Him, with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We give Him praise like the psalmist of old, “Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with timbrel and dancing, praise him with the strings and pipe, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”
Worship and prayer changes the spiritual atmosphere of a region. In the Word of God and throughout history this has been proven over and over again. In Luke 18:7, Jesus says, “And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?” Isaiah 62:6-7 says, “I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” God will establish his kingdom on earth through worship and prayer.
“The trumpeters and singers joined in unison, as with one voice, to give praise and thanks to the LORD. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” – 2 Chronicles 5:13
